Not all games have to be flashy, fast and competitive either. And while you obviously have a point of view that indicates you hate the game, not everyone does. I honestly think they’re listening and genuinely want it to be legendary. Maybe you’ve given up on D3, but let the devs hear what you want in D4. I’d love to have that feel back in D4, and I think they can do it without turning it into a Carpal Tunnel Syndrome generator. I remember D3:Vanilla Hell and people making videos about world first Leoric kills, etc on Hell mode after many attempts and an epic battle. I remember a lot of my old WoW friends who loved raiding and spoke fondly about TBC because you had to be strategic, even with the trash mobs. While I love the feel of D3’s system - it’s smooth, intuitive, and responsive - I definitely look forward to the power balance where I have to respect the enemies as truly demons from hell. You’d typically have to build with 2 main skills because of resistances. ![]() Ranged characters had to master kiting or die. You had to actually dodge ranged attacks. I think making combat more tactical in D4 would be something many of us would enjoy. I give a lot of my feedback here in hopes that the D4 team is reading and listening. I’m still very competitive, and I still love the adrenaline rush of taking on a really tough battle, but I also have other priorities so I don’t like games that demand I play them like a full-time job. My mind biologically simply can’t move as fast (and there are studies to show that’s true for all of us). And, like you, I find I enjoy high APM games and ones where you have to have ultra-fast twitch reactions to be less appealing. I like more strategy and tactical decision-making. I’m old enough now to feel the difference in the games I enjoyed while I was in school (CounterStrike, D2, Starcraft, Age of Empires 2, etc) and what I enjoy now. No need at all to apologize for liking what you like in a video game! It’s supposed to be entertaining. I really enjoyed your analysis especially paragraph two about game speed and mechanics which only touched the surface of Diablo’s gameplay problems. ![]() I gave Diablo 3 a try and I feel too exhausted playing it.
